Pondering on selection of PAP new candidate Tin Pei Ling and Marina Parade
GRC.
By now most people who read widely either online or offline would
have heard of many criticisms against PAP new candidate, Tin Pei Ling. The
question on deeper thinkers are why would PAP chose her, knowing very well
she is the weakest link in any GRC as she can bring down any GRC should the
opposition focus entirely on her and bring her down by saying she
doesn't deserve to represent you or she doesn't deserve to ride on tail
coat of others to bring her into parliament or let's be very fair, she
is too young, she can have another chance another election etc |

Observers are cracking their brains trying to figure out how is it that
PAP cannot find any replacement candidate who is more qualified, more
experienced, more eloquent, more palatable and more presentable to the
electorate but there is no other choice must chose Miss Tin Pei Ling as one
of their new PAP candidate for Marine Parade GRC. Surely, PAP is not that
politically unaware that she will be very likely a lightning rod for attacks
by the opposition. Since PAP being in power for so many years, they
therefore more likely than not, knows very well, she could be conducting
point of attacks by the opposition. So why still choose her? Very puzzling
indeed.
Let's ask further some pertinent questions in our analysis:- Does PAP so
badly need young MPs to be inducted into their ranks? It certainly doesn't
look like a life and death situation in this Singapore General Election 2011
that PAP or Singapore requires the services of this young lady, Miss Tin Pei
Ling. Is Miss Tin Pei Ling therefore a very shrewd master strategist like
M/s Sima Yi or Zhuge Liang of 3 Kingdoms from ancient china history? It
looks like very likely not, as so far, nothing she has not written or
articulated anything to show her to be that of master strategist.
Now what if we set aside Miss Tin Pei Ling out of focus temporarily and
look from another angle, that is why is she going to be field in Marine
Parade GRC and not other GRC? So that it will ensure that she will
definitely get into parliament? May be and perhaps. Or could it be there is
possibly further strategic positioning or gains from fielding her in Marine
Parade GRC? Now this is interesting part, do we have anything we can hold on
to further extrapolate on such a possibility? For this we have to watch
further, think deeper and hopefully somewhere along the line, more can be
revealed.
