At every election, voters will be always hearing 2 things from PAP - 1)
that foreign investors are watching Singapore election and will be very
concerned if PAP loses any seats and 2) rallying cry by PAP that
leadership renewal is critical for future generations. Once again, we
are hearing Prime Minister Lee saying this same thing before this
general election. See

But please remember, at every election, PAP always renew their
leadership, so what about our young voters wanting more bargaining power
against such overwhelming majority of PAP MPs in parliament that is very
unhealthy for Singapore, leaving Singaporeans no effective bargaining
power against PAP? |

If we voters are to be easily swayed by PAP that at every election,
leadership renewal is critical then we will be forever under such
overwhelming majority of PAP MPs leaving no checks and balances against PAP's
rule, then what's the point of having election in the 1st place? Some
people on the ground felt that had their been more opposition MPs in
parliament, PAP would have reacted faster in controlling the floodgates of
allowing so many foreigners into Singapore making Singaporeans felt they are
the ones foreigners in their own country, making everybody afraid of losing
their jobs and their roof over their heads. Do we want to live under such
fear?
What do you think? Is it better to have more opposition to make PAP work
harder and listen better than now whereby PAP had dismissed the people criticisms
against PAP new
candidate Tin Pei Ling as "Noise" to be ignored? Share your views. |
